Perth Weekend Escapes

The nature around Perth is amazing and there is plenty to discover. It is very common to make weekend trips out of Perth and I also did it quiet often and was impressed by the stunning nature.
You normally can drive just an hour or two away from the city to get to a quiet, enjoyable and relaxing place. Here are my favourite getaways.

Breakfast in Perth

The aussies love their smashed avo on toast. You can find cafes with this dish on the menu on every single corner. Perth is also the perfect place for vegetarians or vegans, in most of the cafes you can get a vegearian or vegan option and there are also heaps of places specialised in vegetarian and vegan food. When I lived in Perth I tried to eat vegan for a while, but as I love fish and my roommates favourite cookies it didn't last long, haha. My mum said the coffee in Australia is amazing, I can't tell because I don't like coffee at all. Anyways Perth is full of hip cafes with healthy and unhealthy dishes.

What to do in Perth

There's plenty to do in the most isolated city in the world. And because being the sunniest city in Australia, most activities take place outside. So if you love to be outdoors and discover amazing places, Perth is the perfect city for you. It does get really hot in summer, which is from December to February and it's also the time with the most festivals and activities in the city. In spring and autumn you get warm days and cold nights and there is still heaps to do. The mild winter, which is from June to August brings rain, as well as chilly and sunny days. There are lots of indoor activities for rainy days.
